I'm Rui — a totally blind B1 runner. I can't see the road, but with a guide beside me and a tether in my hand, running has become one of the most important parts of my life.

Totally blind. Totally determined.
I'm a B1 runner — the classification for athletes who are totally blind. I run tethered to a guide, trusting them with every corner, pothole and suspiciously placed bollard.
