Hello, I'm Rui.
I'm Rui — a totally blind B1 runner. I can't see the road, but with a guide beside me and a tether in my hand, running has become one of the most important parts of my life.
What B1 means
B1 is the sport classification for athletes who are totally blind. In running, it means running with a guide, connected by a short tether, communicating every turn, kerb and change of pace.
